This web site
contains a discussion forum for Bridgeport
neighbors to share information about their
neighborhood and their City. You can ask and
answer questions, announce events, share
memories, problems, solutions and dreams related
to The Park City. Join merchants, business
people, politicians, artists, parents, colorful
Bridgeport characters, and your neighbors, and
talk to your city !
Bridgeport In The Know Forum Rules:
PLEASE READ.
Keep to the spirit of the forum theme which is
topics concerning Bridgeport.
Discussion is
moderated by group owner. If you post in
contradiction to these rules, the post will be
removed and posting privileges suspended and/or
the member removed.
Do not “out” a member of this group or anyone
mentioned here. Someone may want to remain
anonymous and choose not to use their real name
here.
Everyone's opinion must be respected. Sound
argument is welcome, but inflammatory content
directed at members of this group or any person
or group will not be permitted.
Inappropriate language (i.e. profanity) is not
permitted.
Do not post personals or “matchmaking”
information. Posting is permitted for both
Bridgeport non-profit information and Bridgeport
business ads.
How to Register and Log
In to Participate in Forum Discussions:
You can read the
forum discussion without the need to be
registered. However, if you would like to post
messages and participate in discussion, you need
to register and log in to a screen name and a
password of your own choosing. Your screen name
can be your own name or a nickname. (Note that
your name can have a space.) You must provide
a working email address that will not be shown
or given to anyone except the owner Joan in case
she needs to contact you.
To register go to
the register link which appears at the top right
corner of the web site. It will bring you to
the forum pages.
So after you
have registered, I will then need to approve
your registration. Your first post to the
discussion will also be approved by me.
These measures are to prevent spammers from
getting into the forums.
How
To Use the Forum Features:
How to use the forum
is explained by clicking on the “FAQS” button
which can be found on upper right hand corner
of the forums page.
Once you have
registered, you can manage your membership in
many different ways. Click on “User Control
Panel” on the upper left hand side of the forums
page to see how to do that. You can also
get notification by email of new posts to the
forum by clicking on "Subscribe Forum or Topic"
at the lower left hand corner of the forum or
topic screen.
You can create a
profile and give more information about yourself
including a photo or you or of anything.
(Please note that the photo must be of a certain
size.) I would really like to encourage members
to do this, so we can feel like we do have a
true community of neighbors.
You are also able to
see the archived discussion from the Yahoo group
Bridgeport in the Know.
You will also find a
forum section called How to Particulate and the
Rules.
